Our client is a growing owner-managed manufacturing business based in North Nottingham. With a close knit team and commitment to delivering high quality products, they have a fast paced and busy site. This role is for a Manufacturing Manager who enjoys a broad, hands on role and with an opportunity to make a significant impact.

Reporting in to our clients CEO we are looking for an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Manager. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in a smaller manufacturing setup. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for Health & Safety, Operations, Production, and the development of processes and structure for the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Manage production schedules and workflow to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes and structures to improve operational efficiency and support business growth.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports to the senior management team.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably within a smaller manufacturing setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and structures to support operational efficiency.
