The Company
With a long standing and prestigious history in midlands based low to medium volume manufacturing and engineering, this award-winning business has gone through a recent large-scale investment and has extensive growth plans for the next three years. To support this growth they are now seeking to employ an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager who can lead a small but highly skilled team to deliver best in class products to a global customer base.

The Role
Reporting directly into the Board, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a team of circa 20 skilled individuals who manufacture and assemble complex electro-mechanical systems for a diverse international customer base. Leading all operational areas including; Assembly, CNC Machining, Logistics, Purchasing and Quality, the Operations Manager will be tasked with the delivery of world class products to a demanding customer base while leading the continuous improvement strategy and production metrics that enable this.

You will ensure that all Operations are executed in line with the commercial and technical expectations, ensuring budgets are managed correctly as well as providing technical expertise to all company functions relating to product assembly and manufacturing from initial sales enquiry through to equipment shipment, ensuring both quality and functionality.

The Person
The ideal individual will have a proven background in an operations or production leadership role within manufacturing, ideally with experience of low volume / medium variety production and electro-mechanical manual assembly environments.

An understanding of CNC machining and assembly would be highly advantageous as would experience within an ISO9001 quality production environment. A well-rounded Continuous Improvement knowledge and relevant manufacturing based HSE understanding will be strong attributes for success in this role.
