The opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity as a Market Management Lead to join our growing Distribution team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis here at QBE.

This role will be pivotal to supporting the development and delivery of the International Markets Distribution strategy through robust client and broker engagement, enabling greater visibility in the market and pipeline management.

Your new role
  • Supporting the development of the Distribution strategy for IM.
  • Contributing to the development of annual Distribution Plans, aligned to the Business Plans, broker objectives and broker performance monitoring.
  • Supporting the development of robust client & broker engagement strategies, encompassing pipeline management, strategic broker engagement & whole account views in line with the IM class of business strategy.
  • Build relationships to upsell and cross sell 'new' business for all lines and support the development of wider relationships and engagement.
  • Support and deliver strategic broker pipelines by understanding their strategies and align them with the QBE appetite and wider QBE strategy to reflect global and local agreements.
  • Network internally and externally to promote the interests of QBE and to learn from others.
  • Contribute to the knowledge sharing culture, including broker & industry newsletters/market reports.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of Salesforce.
  • Analyse market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to operate effectively and appropriately.
  • Prepare performance reports to monitor performance and governance, and present information, when necessary, on activity internally and with Clients and Brokers.
  • Support P&L owners by providing MI on performance to maintain and support strategies for clients and brokers.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business including product, claims, operations and finance to maintain a cohesive approach to brokers and clients and deliver consistent messages with brokers in terms of strategy, product offering and plans.
  • Attended at internal strategic & distribution meetings, broker workshops and external broker & client meetings, as required.
  • Contribute to internal & external broker and client communications including broker & industry newsletters/market reports.
  • Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice.
  • Supporting all Marketing & Communications activity in country, including the organization of local events, webinars, and seminars.
About you
  • Demonstrable background in the insurance industry and a regulatory environment with knowledge of relevant products.
  • Fundamental understanding of the broker market, building relationships and understanding their key drivers.
  • Familiarity with statutory/ regulatory regimes.
  • Knowledge and expertise of class specific underwriting and re-insurance.
  • Consistent track record of supporting the delivery of strategic business plans
  • Inter-personal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
