Our client is a large localgovernment organisation and looking for an experienced Marketing / Communications Assistant to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant

You will

Our client is looking for an adaptable and confident Marketing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for copywriting and some experience in managing social media schedules, sending email newsletters, and handling public enquiries. You will have:

1. Strong copywriting skills, with a knack for adjusting your tone for each audience and service.

2. Experience with social media management and ideally email marketing, and an understanding of what tactics help drive awareness and engagement.

3. Strong communication skills and the confidence to manage public queries.

4. The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

5. The confidence to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

6. An eye for design and detail.

1. Creative outputs: Craft compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels, including copywriting social posts and web pages, and creating and editing graphics or short videos for social media.

2. Social media management: Schedule and monitor posts across our social media platforms. Work with the Digital Content Manager to evaluate and improve our performance.

3. Email marketing: Coordinate and send out regular email newsletters to our subscribers. Optimise and look for ways to improve.

4. Public relations: Manage public queries on behalf of the team, ensuring timely and professional responses.

5. Help the team tick: Support others in the Comms and Marketing team with their marketing and admin. Also, build strong relationships with project teams across the wider organisation.
