We are seeking a very special Marketing Executive / Copy Writer for an exciting opportunity within a dynamic, vibrant and successful company. The successful candidate must have previous experience of direct marketing within the FMCG/Retail and strong brand / asset optimisation skills.

An exclusive distributor of a luxury, FMCG product range, now require an experienced, hands on, creative Marketing Executive / Copywriter who has experience of creating compelling marketing material to retailers, distributors and b2b consumers.to join their team.

Marketing Executive / Copy Writer Key Tasks

The appointed person will be tasked with pro-actively planning, creating and executing both on and off line retail activity to drive sales across the UK and Europe. Liaising with senior key stakeholders across the brand and the business.

The appointed candidate will be comfortable working to SMART objectives agreeing with key stakeholders in advance, to be delivered on time and then reviewed to assess impact.

In addition to managing retail activity, you will also be required to plan, create and manage our internal and external communications throughout the business, brand, retailer partners and prospects. These must be inline with the Brand’s tone of voice and look. This will include POS plans, design and delivery of trade marketing plans, creation of compelling sales documents, be confident in the use of Planograms and Mailchimp.

Although a hands on role, with most of the above carried out by the job holder, there will be occasional need to brief and manage third party suppliers including graphic designers, printers and translators. You will also periodically review the ongoing performance from these resource pools.

Marketing Executive / Copy Writer Day to Day Duties

· Creation of our retail campaign pack to bring the brand plan to life instore and online

· Creation and execution of the assets required for the supporting promotional plan

· Creation and execution of tailored annual marketing plan with 6-8 key accounts

· Selling tool creation to ensure the sales team have the selling tools they require

· Design and creation of POS & planograms

· Weekly email comms to trade partners, management of Mailchimp and monitoring of success

· Must have copywriting experience

· Creating our quarterly strategic comms to trade and prospects

· Internal comms across the business celebrating success

· Market intelligence gathering

Marketing Executive / Copy Writer Person Specification

  • Have excellent project management skills
  • Be proficient at managing 3rd party providers
  • Be a self-starter able to get on with completing the task
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing to retail distributors for a consumer brand including:
  • Creating annual retail activation plans
  • Production of POS - essential
  • Producing Assets for retail activation
  • Creating selling tools for the sales team
  • Creating specific retail activity that delivers a positive ROI
  • Merchandising and planograms
  • Copy writing
  • Mailchimp
  • Have strong experience in product / customer marketing
