An exciting opportunity within The Activation Project, a not-for-profit organisation based in Leamington Spa. We are looking for a driven individual to support the Sport and Physical Activity sector, enabling more people to become more active. Funded by key sources, we focus on creating and engaging customer experiences and driving large scale, lasting change.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious individual to join our growing team. A key part of the role would be to provide marketing expertise and to support The Activation Project to enhance brand awareness and credibility with new initiatives. It involves continuing to build our profile across social media platforms and developing the website to fit with the marketing strategy. It is a varied role in an exciting organisation and is best suited to a creative and organised individual, who can balance their time and prioritise their workload efficiently.

Key responsibilities

You will be working directly with the Marketing Lead, whilst collaborating with the rest of the team. Your role will include:

  • Managing social media and other digital communication tools to support the delivery of the marketing and communication plan, utilising graphic design tools.
  • Managing and developing the website with knowledge of various analytical tools to measure performance. You need to have knowledge and experience of SEO and SMM.
  • Video and podcast editing to support the marketing initiatives.
  • Liaising with the end users on case studies and marketing initiatives.
  • Creating content confidently and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external providers on various projects.
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing external events.

Additionally, you will be asked to provide support to other projects for our sister organisation - Impact Innovation. This role will be varied and requires a balance of creativity and a methodical approach.

Key Requirements

You will ideally have 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing or an advertising role. In addition, you will:

  • Ideally be a graduate or equivalent (not essential)
  • Have strong organisation skills, enthusiastic and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects
  • Confidently build relationships and rapport with key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to portray a story using a variety of forms of communication to a range of audiences
  • Creative and methodical approach to new initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Adobe Creative and Canva
  • Experience in using Wix web design (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for creativity, with the ability to build on ideas and solutions
