Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a MASH Referral Officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will receive and process referrals, create and assign contact records, support screening and triage services, and perform administrative tasks to support the MASH team and its partners.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Act as the first point of contact for professionals and the public who have concerns about a child's welfare and safety.
  • Log referrals and create contact records, ensuring all relevant information is accurately captured.
  • Allocate cases to the appropriate MASH team member for further action and investigation.
  • Assist social care staff and partners in providing effective screening and triage services, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to referrals.
  • Complete both routine and complex administrative duties, maintaining efficient business operations within the MASH.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within social care or child protection.
  • Experience in providing business and administrative support in a busy environment.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

What's on offer

Salary: £20ph+per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
