We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Production Scheduler to join our team on a 6-12 month rolling contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities to meet customer demands and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer orders, inventory targets, and production capabilities.
* Coordinate with various departments including procurement, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless integration of production plans.
* Analyse demand forecasts and adjust schedules to address changes in customer requirements and production constraints.
* Monitor production progress and proactively address any issues or delays to maintain on time delivery performance.
* Optimize resource utilization, including labour, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
* Implement and maintain production planning tools and systems to support scheduling activities.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on production status, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
* Conduct regular reviews of production schedules to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all scheduling activities.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Master Production Scheduler or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace industry.
* Strong understanding of production planning principles, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing practices.
* Proficiency in using production scheduling software and ERP systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
