Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials Compliance Engineer to join a leading automotive design and development team based in Cranfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a Centre of Excellence for vehicle manufacturing, offering unparalleled career development and the chance to work on innovative projects in an inspiring and dynamic environment.

What You Will Do:
  • Ensure compliance with national, European, and international regulations, as well as company standards related to substances and materials.
  • Work cross-functionally across R&D, Manufacturing, After-sales, and more, supporting Parts Design, Vehicle Development, and Materials Testing/Validation.
  • Coordinate the gathering and validation of substances and materials composition information for vehicles and parts.
  • Monitor and control compliance with regulations such as POP, REACH, CLP, ELV, RRR, and more.
  • Test materials, parts, and vehicles for emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to control vehicle interior air quality.
  • Present vehicle compliance status reports to senior management, aligning with vehicle development milestones.
What You Will Bring:
  • Knowledge of International Material Data System (IMDS) and iPoint Software.
  • Degree in chemistry/materials science or equivalent, with extensive industry experience.
  • Proven experience in compliance or regulatory activities, preferably related to substances and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, alongside strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects, with a proactive and energetic personality.

Location:

This position is based in Cranfield, offering a vibrant workplace environment with the opportunity for occasional international travel. This role requires being on site at least 3 days a week and can be as mny as 5 days a week depending on business needs.
