Long - Term teachers have a fantastic maternity cover teaching opportunity commencing in September 2024,to work in a lovely special school based in the scenic city of Cheltenham. The school provides specialist education for up to 100 students, which gives you a fantastic opportunity to have familiarity with all pupils.
The role will involve covering subjects including maths, literacy, science and PSHE. Planning and marking will be involved, however you will have the support from the senior leadership team, to plan around the curriculum, EHCP. If you have knowledge of phonics, teams or behavioural management this is an excellent opportunity for you to progress within your teaching career.
Knowledge of SEN/ SEMH is vital, including autism; in addition to Social Emotional and Mental health. With the role there may be students with challenging behaviour, some interventions may occur. The head teacher is looking for a nurturing individual who can show maturity and positivity to the role. You must be a friendly, trusting person to build an excellent report with both students and staff.
This will be a part time role, working up to 3 days a week, as it is a maternity position, this will be a temporary role commencing in September. However if you demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team, there will be an opportunity to progress to a permanent position.
