Join my client as a Mathematics Consultant and make a significant impact by developing and implementing cutting-edge optimisation models. This is a contractor position, requiring your expertise for approximately three days per week from mid-June to the start of July for a few months. Your skills will directly influence critical projects, driving efficiency and innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and implementing optimisation models using Python.
• Utilising libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and specialised optimisation libraries like Gurobi.
• Applying mathematical optimisation techniques to solve complex problems.
• Formulating and solving Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Linear Programming (LP) problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

About You

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and best practices in version control and testing.
• Deep understanding of mathematical optimisation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Linear Programming (LP).
• Experience with energy systems and networks is advantageous
