Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: St Helens (WA9 4HU)
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday- Friday- Flexible between 06:00- 17:00
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client are a leading independent machinist and supplier of specialist insulation materials. Operating globally with an extensive product range, managing, and selling to selling via regional country managers.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for on site maintenance, carrying out general servicing, preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and liaising with shop floor staff regarding any machine issues.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your duties will be: -

" General maintenance of CNC machines, Routers, Lathes, Saws and Manual machines mainly HAAS, Bridgeport, and BSE.
" Diagnosing problems if machine breaks down.
" Locate source of problem by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
" Ensure that plant and equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times with the aim of minimising downtime.
" Schedule planned and preventative maintenance work.
" Ensure that machinery and equipment are kept in good working order and meet all safety regulations.
" Attend to all breakdowns, failures, or malfunctions swiftly and report.
" Repair or replace broken or defective components.
" Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have the following skills: -

" Must have worked within a similar role previously.
" Good attention to detail.
" Good team player and work well with others.
" Flexible to working hours.
" Ability to work well under pressure.
