H9 Technical are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer on a contract basis (Outside of IR35) for an initial period of 6 months.

The role will be based at the company's head office in Oldham, but the role can be performed on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in office ideally).

Role Description:

  • Design and development of 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings tailored to customer specifications.
  • Production and maintenance of detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Continuous improvement of existing products through analytical review and engineering changes.
  • Ensuring all design projects adhere to health and safety standards inherent in all processes.
  • Collaboration with manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into practical manufacturing information.
  • Management of engineering changes in compliance with company change control procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not essential)
  • Competent user of Solidworks 3D CAD
  • Good communicator, able to interact across disciplines
  • Experience with special purpose machinery design with applications for multiple sectors
  • Experience of developing new concepts and improvements
