A permanent mechanical engineering teacher is required by an established Further Education provider in South Yorkshire.

They are looking for someone to deliver mechanical engineering units to their apprentices at levels 2 & 3.

Given the size of team you can either specialise on the academic side of things e.g. mechanical principles, engineering maths, Hydraulics, Pneumatics…. or focus on the workshop side e.g machining, CNC, Cad, milling…. Whatever your preference would be.

Responsibilities:


• Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons on Mechanical Engineering
• Assessing students' understanding through continuous observation and feedback
• Developing and upgrading course content as per the curriculum requirements
• Ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment
• Participating in quality improvement and curriculum development activities.

Requirements:


• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Previous teaching experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to providing the highest standards of teaching
• DBS clearance.
