Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

Location: London

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team. You will be working alongside a talented team of junior and senior estimators and will report to the Head of Pre-Construction. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator to contribute to a range of high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating:
    • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical engineering projects.
    • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
    • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the pre-construction team to ensure estimates align with project goals.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and project plans.
  • Project Management:
    • Monitor and update estimates as project requirements change.
    • Assist in developing bid strategies and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions, calculations, and supporting documentation.
    • Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the engineering or construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
