Position Description:
The Facility and Technology Development team are responsible for the design and delivery of facility components, test rigs and the infrastructure required in support of the core PAV areas delivering physical test plans. The area is also responsible for the development and delivery of key new facilities, technology, infrastructure and strategy for PAV, project leading from concept through to delivery. The role will see the associate lead the design and delivery of bespoke test rigs and fixtures in support of the core cycle plan across all the Engineering Labs test areas. These rigs will vary from component to system level or full vehicle testing.

Experience Required:

  • Experienced CAD user for 3D modelling.
  • Ability to produce and interpret 2D complex detailed drawings in order to prepare parts for manufacture and assembly.
  • Understanding of various manufacturing techniques and how to optimise designs accordingly.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering design, ideally within a test environment with a focus on component and system level rig design.
