Mechanical quality Inspector required for this manual inspection role with this coatings and treatments division of a large successful precision engineering group.

This quality inspection role involves the First Off and Final Inspections for surface treatments on aircraft parts as well as the completion of the associated inspection paperwork. This is inspection surrounding detail such a paint and coatings thickness. All skill and experience levels considered but you should have good solid experience of the use of micrometers, gauges and verniers etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect parts based on customer design data before dispatch.
  • Perform first-off inspections using customer design data.
  • Utilise specialised tools (e.g., paint thickness meters, tape testing) to measure components.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection procedures.
  • Generate necessary inspection reports.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records.
  • Continuously seek process improvements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your work area.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with customer and business requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar quality assurance inspection role.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related software.
  • Strong communication skills.
