Mechanical Inspector

Inspector required to join the Quality Control team at this large successful aerospace precision engineering company. Your role will involve ensuring that all work meets stringent requirements and aligns with customer specifications.

This is an opportunity to work on complex parts to the highest standards and grow in a skilled team in a large busy company.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first off and final inspections of machined components to customer specifications.
  • Use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) working from 3D models. (any Virtual Dmis experience will be an advantage)
  • Employ various precision hand tools (micrometres, gauges, verniers, etc.) to inspect and measure components accurately.
  • Maintain strict compliance with inspection procedures, documenting and keeping records updated.
  • Generate comprehensive inspection reports for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance inspection processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organised work area following the 5S principles.

You will need excellent communication skills and a solid background in mechanical inspection.
