Location: Hull

Salary: £37,070 - £38,637 per annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Mechanical Instructor:

  • We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers.
  • This position is based at the training centre in Grimsby and entails delivering high quality apprenticeship and commercial training for client companies.

Skills and Qualifications for the Mechanical Instructor:

  • Some process experience would be desirable but is not essential.
  • The successful applicant must have experience in:
  • Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Lathe/milling machine operation.
  • Safe use of hand tools.
  • Hydraulics or pneumatics.
  • Health & safety practices and procedures.
  • A working knowledge of chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable not essential.
  • The successful applicant also needs:
  • A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification.
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Whilst assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
  • Our client is committed to safeguarding learners and successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check, and to register on a suitable instructor/teacher training programme.
