Exciting career opportunity with this fantastic Worcester based business, this role would suit a Maintenance / Mechanical Engineer with ONC / OND / HND / HNC / NVQ level 3 or equivalent OR a time served fitter ready for a new challenge.

We’re looking for:

  • Minimum standard of ONC / OND / HND / HNC / NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering or be a time served fitter.
  • Ability to demonstrate ability to understand Engineering drawings
  • Competency in turning & milling, be able to weld and burn
  • Ability to conform to stringent procedures and work within strict health and safety practices
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
  • Reliable and flexible attitude to work
  • Great communication, able to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers & contractors
  • Able to organise own workload
  • Knowledge of Die casting, CNC machines and robots would be advantageous

The Role:

  • Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas
  • Promptly respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance work
  • Carry out routine Mechanical Maintenance e.g. Pumps, Filters etc.
  • Assist wherever and whenever possible in safety improvements
  • Maintain plant and equipment both reactively (e.g. breakdowns), and proactively (e.g. PPMs, spares build-up).
  • Systematically establish cause of failure in equipment, identify root causes wherever possible and to communicate with relevant personnel
  • Record activities as directed
  • Refer to records, drawings, manuals, and other material as necessary
  • Work effectively with colleagues and subcontractors
  • Perform any other duties as required
