Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk

Exciting opportunities have emerged within a company producing training equipment for the Military and Defense sector. Looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to spearhead projects and innovate new products.

Position Summary:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and equipment issues.
• Disassemble machines and equipment as needed to replace worn mechanical parts.
• Identify and procure spare parts necessary for maintaining continuous production operations.
• Investigate and propose enhancements or cost-saving measures.
• Operate and maintain lathe machines and associated equipment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience with production machinery, especially lathe machines.
• Background in performing maintenance roles within a production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble machines and replace components such as bearings and conveyor belts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and lead projects effectively.
• Familiarity with maintenance best practices and safety protocols.
