This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor to work on behalf of our client who own and operate the Fife Ethylene Plant. The successful Mechanical supervisor will be the field execution leader on a number of projects including furnace and boiler maintenance work.

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Supervisor leading and overseeing site activities including metal trades, pipework, welding and structural steelwork etc within a COMAH environment.

The role and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Monitoring construction subcontractor's field activities.
  • Monitoring and appraising construction work for conformance with engineering drawings, design specifications, sites standards and applicable codes by spot checking actual work performance.
  • Evaluating performance of subcontractor's construction organisation and supervisory personnel, suggesting remedial steps where deficiencies are noted.
  • Monitoring safety and job security.
  • Reviewing and appraising subcontractor's construction activities and participate in subcontract administration, including claims and counterclaims as required.
  • Monitoring and ensuring quality assurance of all work scopes is maintained and all work is completed safely and in accordance with the Client's policies and procedures.

This role is Inside IR35. The rates advertised are PAYE. We can also pay candidates on an Umbrella basis. Details will be provided upon application.
