Mechanical Technician - up to £20 per hour Inside IR35 - 12 Months (extensions highly likely) Herefordshire - standard 37 hours - Fully onsite working (Free Parking) - One stage F2F interview with skills test - Sector: Aerospace and Defence

Are you seeking a challenging entry-level opportunity with a leading company in the Aerospace and defence sector? We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join the Operations team of Our client who is a renowned Aerospace company at the forefront of space exploration and travel.

Daily tasks will include assembly and final assembly processes of aluminium composite panel manufacture.

Responsibilities:

• Able to insert panels with the correct type of mechanical fasteners.
• Bonding of various brackets, equipment and inserts, using various adhesives
• Bonding components and sub-assemblies using adhesives to drawing specifications
• Ability to read and understand Detailed engineering drawings and procedures.
• Laminating and Tooling
• Working with Aluminium skin and Honeycomb core
• Film adhesive bonding
• Oven curing
• Use of Industrial machinery
• Using 3D viewing Software and 3D assembly Models

Essential:

• Previous experience in a Manual Handling Role
• Manual Dexterity
• Previous experience within a production/manufacturing environment with regular use of hand tools
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions/manuals.
• Relevant experience in carbon fibre

Desirable:

• Clean room environment experience

• Previous experience of laminating Aluminium
• Space/Aerospace/Automotive/Motorsport experience
