A renowned and successful engineering company located in Kettering (Northamptonshire) who’re market leaders of advanced Electronics who’re in partnership with high quality customers across Motorsport, Prestige Automotive, Defence, Aerospace and Medical have an exciting vacancy to hire for a brand new Mechatronics Engineer to join the team and business in which they allow adventurous product design in every sector offering a varied and exciting path for personal development.

Salary on offer:
The salary on offer for the successful Mechatronics Engineeris £25,000 - £45,000 per annum.

The role:
The successful Mechatronics Engineer will play a pivotal within the company’s specialist engineering in which the role suited is to a Mechatronics Engineer with good foundation in both electronics’ hardware and mechanical design, at Graduate/Junior level or Mid-level. The Mechatronics Engineeringrole will revolve around the design and development of customer solutions that integrate both electronic and mechanical elements in their design. The successful candidate may have a preference towards either discipline for Electronics Hardware or Mechanical, but a practical appreciation of both is needed.

Mechatronics Engineer Key Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
  • Graduate engineer or 1-2+ years relevant professional experience
  • Experience on designing Mechanical components and/or assemblies, ideally in SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of electronics hardware engineering (analogue & digital electronics circuits)
  • PCB Design & Schematic Capture - Ideally with experience of Altium
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Desirable nice to have skills:
  • Experience supporting Electronics and Mechanical designers as part of a larger team
  • Experience of planning and managing own projects
  • Experience of working for a multinational company
  • Experience of working with customers and suppliers
