Media Solicitor

An esteemed Legal 500 firm has an exciting opportunity for a Media Solicitor to join their growing Media Team at their Waterloo office. This role is ideal for a 3-5 years PQE solicitor with Media Law experience, though less experienced candidates will also be considered if they are the right fit for the firm, team, and clients.

The Media Solicitor's Role

The successful Media Solicitor will join a dynamic team handling a wide range of matters. Key responsibilities include working with high-profile individuals involved in phone hacking litigation and other cases involving defamation, privacy, and harassment. The role also extends to representing clients within the political sector. This involves representing MPs and other politicians in defamation claims, judicial reviews, and other civil disputes, as well as standards tribunal cases.

The Media Solicitor

The ideal Media Solicitor will possess:

• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines.
• The ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
