Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services to recruit for a Mental Health Nurse.

The hospital is rated 'Good' by the CQC and offers opportunities for nurses to work in a number of service line settings – Adult Acute & Adult Eating Disorders  meaning nurses have the chance to experience other wards on rotation. The hospital is based on the outskirts of Southampton and comprises 40 inpatient beds across three wards.

The hospital prides itself on ensuring that patients’ recovery and care remain its primary focus throughout their stay. Led by an effective and stable management team it has a robust preceptorship programme. It has multidisciplinary teams in all wards including medical, nursing, occupational therapy and psychology input.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Deliver high quality, service users focussed care
  • Participate in the development of new services and care pathways
  • Monitoring of patients physical and mental health
  • Planning of care and implementation of care for people admitted both formally and informally.
  • Support the local implementation of the Group Nursing Strategy
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement within your service
  • Registered nurse with active NMC PIN with 12 months post qualifying experience
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
  • Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills
