Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay rate: £19.10

Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join their team in the Occupational Health and Wellbeing department.

The trust are looking for an individual who can provide a high quality service in promoting positive mental health to employees across Barnsley Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • promote positive Mental Health in the workplace and to advise Managers on Mental Ill-Health issues in the workplace. e.g. recognising anxiety, stress depression.
  • Provide support to departments/groups of staff in crisis e.g. coping with change
  • deliver relevant training with regard to support strategies for managers and staff to participate in health education and induction programmes as required. e.g. stress coping strategies, mindfulness.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Registered mental health nurse qualified
  • Knowledge of occupational health and wellbeing practice and current issues
  • Knowledge of NHS occupational health risk factors
  • Knowledge of how to manage stress, anxiety, depression
