We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced and organised merchandise planner. Our client are a global company leading in toy manufacturing, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for planning and the tenacity to break down barriers.

Key Responsibilities for a Global Merchandise Planner

  • Assist the Supply and Demand Manager in maintaining accurate forecasts by analysing sales data and holding regular forecast reviews within a clearly defined monthly process for both new and continuity products.
  • Regularly review in market sales performance vs forecast vs inventory and continually adapt purchase plans to avoid un-productive overstocks or poor availability through out of stocks across all markets (UK, France and USA)
  • Be a contributor of technical and supply input into the new product development process to ensure appropriate logistical / operational specifications for local markets are met.
  • Manage relationships with UK / EU suppliers and support the Brand Manager team on range selection.
  • Oversee the customs clearing process by ensuring accurate duty rates and administration for timely clearance.

Key Skills needed for a Global Merchandise Planner

  • 2+ years of supply and demand planning experience in fast moving industries
  • Demonstrable expertise and understanding of freight and customs
  • A problem solver
  • A can-do attitude
  • Good communication skills
