Job Description
- Ensure the calibration system is in adherence to the systems or customer specific requirements.
- Carry out product measurements using the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and laser scanner.
- Ensure that all reports are formatted to requirements analysis completed prior to distribution.
- Ensure adherence to internal timing plans for measurement programs.
- Coach and guide others on the correct use of gauging in the manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate measurement systems analysis and statistical process control studies.
Metrology Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Degree, HND or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Works with precision and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and the use of PCDIMS (or similar) software.
- Experience with optical measurement.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with problem solving techniques.
- Minimum 2 years’ service in a similar role.
