MICE Operations Executive

Salary icon £30,000 - £37,000 per annum

Are you passionate about travel, tourism, and the UK?! Our client is looking to recruit a creative, enthusiastic, forward thinking Events Operations Executive to join their MICE team to plan, co-ordinate and manage a wide range of private-corporate-events.

As you will be working with the Spanish / Portuguese market, you must be Fluent in Spanish Or Portuguese !

You will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:

  • Look after the Incentive Market for Scotland
  • Produce competitive Incentive quotes for your clients
  • Ensure that a healthy conversion rate is achieved at all times
  • Keep yourself updated with product knowledge by attending trade events and meeting with your suppliers.
  • Build relationships and maintain a great working relationship with your clients and suppliers.
  • Create and confirm itineraries including all ground services.

Skill attributes:

  • Fluency in English AND Spanish Or Portuguese is essential
  • Experience in an inbound operator AND MICE is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK as a destination, in particular London.
  • In depth knowledge of what Scotland has to offer as a MICE destination
  • Ability to research events, incentive, conference market.
  • Proven experience of preparing presentations and operating incentive groups
  • BENEFITS
  • Working days: Monday to Friday -h09:30 to h17:30 - including 1 hour lunch break.
  • Workplace: Hybrid position - high season 3 days in the office / 2 days from home, and vice versa during low season. During probation (3 months) will be in the office every day, for training.
  • Must hold an emergency phone for 1 week, every 4-5 weeks on a ROTA bases, weekend included (excluding during probation).
  • Holidays: 22 days holidays + Bank Holidays + birthday off. 1 additional day after 2 years. 2 additional days after 3 years.
