Your new role
As a Microbiology Technician, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing illnesses, conducting laboratory experiments, and analysing microorganisms. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing laboratory experiments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Supervising biological technicians and ensuring accurate results.
  • Isolating and studying bacteria and other microorganisms.
  • Classifying microorganisms found in collected specimens.
  • Monitoring the effects of microorganisms on animals, plants, and the environment.
  • Staying up-to-date by researching scientific findings and attending conferences.
  • Publishing research papers and presenting findings to peers and the public.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
