We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mill Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of production for a local Forages and Fibre manufactures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the mill, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The Mill Operations Manager will play a crucial role in optimising production processes, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and leading a team of dedicated staff members.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the mill.
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices.
  • Train team members on specific machinery and processes.
  • Ensure quality control
  • Implement strategies to reduce waste.
  • Work to increase production output.
  • Collaborate with the Mill Manager to plan for the highest quality products, considering incoming materials.
  • Lead and manage 'Focus Projects'.
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks and assist in fixing breakdowns.
  • Work with the Mill Manager and Engineering Team to suggest and implement improvements in the mill.
  • Oversee the introduction of new equipment and projects.
