Minibus Driver

Our client, a major sports club, is seeking a driver to transport young Academy players between home and their training ground for ad hoc work to support their operation. Additional trips and some evening or night work may be required. This role suits someone with excellent people skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle last-minute changes. The work environment is positive and friendly, ensuring you will quickly feel at home. This is an ideal job for someone looking for occasional work with time on their hands.

Benefits:

  • £11.50/hr (overtime £13.80) PAYE Accrued
  • £12.89/hr (overtime £15.47) PAYE Advanced
  • Minimum 6 hours/day, Monday to Friday, with potential extra hours midweek and weekends
  • Vehicle available for home use between shifts
  • No lifting involved

The Role:

  • 2 shifts per day, AM and PM, typically starting at 07:00 and 16:00
  • Driving a modern people carrier or minibus with 2-6 academy players
  • Additional hours and night/weekend work available at higher rates
  • Collaborating with other drivers to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintaining the vehicle and reporting defects immediately
  • Operating within the Safeguarding framework

Requirements:

  • Minimum Category D1 Licence with at least 1 year's professional driving experience
  • Must be at least 25 years old (for insurance purposes)
  • No more than 6 points on your licence (minor offences only)
  • Friendly, respectful, and a good team player
  • Flexible attitude to work, capable of adapting to last-minute changes
  • Enhanced DBS required.
