Job Title: Minibus Driver
Pay: £15.58ph
Duration: Ongoing – term time only (with school holidays and inset days off)
Hours: Zero hours contract, based on route (1–2.5 hours morning and afternoon)
Location: Hawkes Point (CV34 6LX), Rugby (CV22 7DL), Nuneaton (CV11 6RP)
Start Date: 18th August 2025

What does the job entail?

We’re looking for experienced and reliable drivers to join Warwickshire County Council’s Transport Delivery Team as they launch an exciting new minibus service for home-to-school transport. As a Regular Route Driver, you’ll help ensure children travel safely and comfortably, making their journey to and from school a positive part of their day.

You will achieve this by:

• Driving a designated school route in a timely and professional manner
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers
• Building positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
• Managing delays due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances (additional time paid pro-rata)
• Participating in mandatory training and route familiarisation

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

• A valid D1 driving license (Full D1 preferred; D1 (101) pre-1997 accepted)
• Commitment to working all term days (both morning and afternoon runs)
• Availability for mandatory training from 18th to 22nd August and 26th to 29th August
• Strong customer service skills and a caring attitude towards young passengers
• A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to driving
• No requirement for a CPC qualification
