Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Handyperson based within the West Sussex Area

You will work closely with a help desk team to deliver high working standards and safe maintenance practices in the delivery of the total facilities management services. One of the main duties of this role is to maintain full compliance with all legislation and company procedures, to provide hands-on all-around support to the customer.

We require the applicants to have done some legislative PPM works Fire alarms, emergency lights etc

Available shifts / Locations below:

  • Location: Mobile around the West Sussex Area
  • Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00pm
  • £15.89 per hour including holiday pay, however you have the option to accrue
  • Paid Weekly, Every Friday before 5 PM.
  • This Position is PAYE

Skills required:

  • Must have at least 2 years previous Handyperson experience
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Good understanding of the FM industry
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel)
  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team

Must have experience with the following:

  • Have previous experience with carpentry and painting and decorating (Repairing safety hazards)
  • Have done basic plumbing and electric tasks (Emergency lighting and fire alarms)
  • Fire door and water Hygiene Checks
  • Can take Meter readings
  • To be able to Install appliances and machines
  • Clearing and tidying up common areas, plant rooms, storerooms Putting together furniture and equipment (following manufactures guides)
  • To supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors, reporting anomalies to the operational leads
  • To ensure all statutory records are available and up to date
  • To work with operational leads to identify opportunities to self-deliver subcontracted maintenance activities
  • To be aware of and have a good working understanding and practical hands-on input, in the control of legionella and associated required works
  • To be able to do building installation and repair (carpet fitting, repairing walls, gutter clearance and drainage
  • Post/ Parcel management and deliveries of items
  • Ensure records are up to date
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and complete PPM regimes
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers (control of permits) and Monitor stock and start ordering procedure
