Our Client

Our client is a highly successful global gambling brand looking for to hire a well-rounded Mobile Marketing Manager to join their ever-growing performance marketing team. This team acts as an internal agency to stakeholders around the world to define and deliver against our performance marketing plans. They have a multi-million-pound digital performance budget focused across many countries with plans to enter many new markets over the next few years.

The Role of the Mobile Marketing Manager

As a Mobile Marketing Manager, you should have a proven track record in leading mobile performance marketing at a high level. Working closely with internal marketing teams in the UK and other markets to produce campaigns that deliver results, as well as directly with platforms to ensure best-in-class search campaigns are delivered (in line with growth and CPA/LTV targets in extremely competitive markets). As well as being an expert in paid app marketing channels in the UK (and ideally in other markets), they are looking for someone who can also bring new ideas for in-app activity in order to grow what is already a key area for their delivery, and also assist with other mobile-focused areas of the business, such as ASO, mobile attribution, and fraud prevention. You will report to the Digital Marketing Manager, but will also liaise with the digital performance managers and country marketing managers.

Key responsibilities of the Mobile Marketing Manager

  • Set up, plan, optimize and report back on performance across mobile campaigns, including but not limited to: App-to-app Display (via Ad Networks), Mobile DSPs, Apple Search Ads, UAC, FB App Campaigns.
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Country Managers globally to plan, deliver and execute successful monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for mobile marketing channels
  • Closely monitor and deliver mobile performance within the defined KPIs (growth volume, CPA and LTV)
  • Report mobile marketing channel performance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to all relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate with, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Developing and delivering complex mobile marketing strategies and also explaining them to nurture junior members of staff and non-digital stakeholders
  • Identify and provide evidence on assisted conversions to all relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop, deliver and execute monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for mobile marketing campaigns
  • Identify and test new channels outside their existing marketing mix in order to add scale to the performance plans
  • Assist in the in-housing of additional markets in 2024 for the relevant channels as per the approved internal in housing migration plan
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation and efficiency through advanced technical solutions
  • Work closely with internal BI team and in house Marketing Analyst to identify cost saving opportunities and further enhance campaign performance
  • Develop robust tracking and measurement systems to ensure we understand the performance of our campaigns accurately, working with BI/MA and other stakeholders as required.

Skills and Experience of the Mobile Marketing Manager

  • Minimum 4 years experience in the Mobile Marketing field in the UK, with other market experience hugely beneficial
  • Experience in the iGaming industry (beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Experience in working for a digital performance agency would be beneficial
  • Experience across all performance marketing platforms with a core focus in Mobile Ad Networks, Mobile DSPs, Apple Search Ads, Google Ads, Facebook Ads
  • Expert understanding of digital tracking, measurement, and reporting tools used in day-to-day mobile marketing ops, including but not limited to: MMPs (such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular, etc), Mobile Fraud Prevention Tools, Traffic Guard/Firebase/GA4
  • Experience in digital marketing planning and forecasting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Team working skills - the ability to build relationships internally and externally, with experience working across multiple countries
  • Strong organisational skills and experience of balancing multiple projects at once
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice
  • Must be at the cutting edge of search innovation with an awareness of platform changes, ideally with nurtured contacts already within the mobile marketing industry.
  • Experience working with multi-nationals and the ability to assimilate relevant cultural and regulatory differences
  • Must be data focused with the ability to gather data, provide actionable incite and share it in a digestible fashion
  • Must be very tech savvy and be aware of available tools on the market and have experience purchasing and implementing them
  • Must have strong analytical acumen with the ability to uncover insights and create stories by seamlessly integrating a variety of data sources
