Mobile Plumber

• Annual Salary: £38,500
• Location: Mobile role covering Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & Isle of Wight

Our client is on the lookout for a conscientious and enthusiastic Regional Plumber with a can-do attitude and a flexible approach. This role is ideal for someone with a broad range of maintenance experience and qualifications in plumbing, who is also capable of handling tasks outside their core competency.

• Conduct a wide variety of domestic and commercial plumbing repairs for local authorities, education providers, commercial buildings, and historical sites.
• Perform tasks including fitting various types of sanitary ware, first and second fixing pipework, servicing of PPM, and reactive first-time fix repairs, including work on unvented systems.
• Carry out minor carpentry, tiling, and decorative works as needed.
• Diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trades related to repair requests.
• Ensure the quality of work meets the highest standards at all times.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of works undertaken, with photographic evidence as necessary.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required by the client.

• NVQ level 2-3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Building Maintenance.
• Competence in core trade and willingness to complete tasks outside core competency.
• Ability to use a phone or PDA to communicate effectively.
• Professional demeanour when dealing with residents, tenants, and representatives.
• Organised approach to meet the demands of maintenance contracts effectively and timely.
• Team player with a proactive attitude towards personal development.
• Practical approach to health and safety.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make proportionate and necessary repairs.
