Mobile Tower Crane Driver

Mobile tower crane driver required. My client is a leading provider of crane hire based in the North West and they are currently looking for an experienced mobile tower crane driver to cover the North West of England and occasionally go further afield. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role and the relevant qualifications. The candidate must be within a commutable distance of Widnes.

Mobile Crane Driver Position Overview

• Operate mobile tower cranes in compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer's guidelines.
• Operate the mobile tower crane to lift, move, and place materials as directed.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspection of the crane and attachments.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and report any issues or necessary repairs.
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and regulations
• Work alongside site supervisors and other team members to plan and execute lifting operations.
• Monitor load weights and crane capacities to prevent overloading
• Collect crane from depot and drive safety to and from pre-planned locations
• The role will mainly cover the North East of England but the occasional need to work away may be required

Mobile Crane Driver Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• A full clean HGV licence
• Valid Blue/Red CPCS competent operator card
• Commutable distance to Widnes

Mobile Crane Driver Position Remuneration

• £24 an hour
• 10-hour day basic pay (overtime time and a half on top of that)
• 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
• Overtime available
• Pension
