TVM Cheltenham Ltd is a growing family-owned mobility company, operating in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & NE Somerset and Gloucestershire. We supply and maintain a range of mobility equipment to help clients stay independent for longer in their own homes. Our mission is to provide the best equipment and service we can, to support individuals, families, and the community. With extensive experience in the field, we are specialists in the provision of hoisting systems (ceiling track,) and our stairlift and large lift operations are rapidly expanding. The business continues to develop in all areas, and we have recently been successful in securing further contract work.
About the role
We are offering a new Service Engineer the opportunity to join our committed team, in a rewarding role. The role will include servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment in service users’ homes, schools, nursing homes and in the company workshop. You will be well supported, and training and development opportunities will be ongoing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- routine servicing across a variety of sites
- load testing of hoisting equipment, which will involve some lifting
- diagnosis of faults and undertaking repairs
- working in line with company values, providing a person-centred service
- completing risk assessments and electronic reports
- liaising closely with company office staff and service users
- participation in on call rota, covering out of hours call outs (evenings/weekends.)
We are looking for
- Service and maintenance experience within the field, or within a similar field
- An electro-mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of fault finding
- A work ethic and values which closely match those of the company
- A flexible approach, together with a willingness to share experience and to learn
To undertake the work, you will need to hold a full UK driving license and should also be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be organised by the company.

Summary of the role:
- Full-time, Permanent
- Start salary - £30,000
- Standard hours - 40 hours per week. Standard working hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
- Participation in on call rota system essential
- Start date - as soon as possible
- Location - Yate, South Gloucestershire.
