Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students studying Motor Vehicle/Automotive courses up to Level 3. This role requires a dedicated educator with a strong commitment to student achievement and an in-depth understanding of the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Instruction:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Motor Vehicle/Automotive subjects to students up to Level 3 standard.
    • Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments to align with curriculum requirements and industry standards.
    • Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Student Support and Development:

    • Provide academic support and mentorship to students, assisting them in reaching their educational goals.
    • Monitor and assess student progress, delivering constructive feedback to enhance learning and performance.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Curriculum Development:

    • Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance the Motor Vehicle curriculum.
    • Ensure course content reflects current industry practices, technological advancements, and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential:

    • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle/Automotive Engineering.
    • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
    • Experience teaching Motor Vehicle/Automotive courses at the FE level or equivalent.
  • Desirable:

    • Higher-level qualifications in Motor Vehicle/Automotive Engineering (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree).
    • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
    • Familiarity with the latest automotive technologies and teaching methodologies.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
