Motor Vehicle Technician

  • Annual Salary: £27,387 to £29,815 (including London Weighting)
  • Location: East London
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team and support our Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship provision. This role is essential in assisting the teaching teams with curriculum delivery and supervising students in the workshops.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the teaching teams in delivering the Motor Vehicle curriculum.
  • Supervise students in the workshops, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and good workshop practices.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure that all equipment is serviced regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with young people aged 16-19, fostering an environment conducive to learning and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in the Motor Vehicle/Automotive industry.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a workshop setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with young people.
  • Willingness to qualify as a First Aider and serve as a nominated First Aider within the College.
