Multi-Skilled Engineer - FMCG - Edinburgh - Up to £50,300

Multi-Skilled Engineer - Requirements

• HNC/ONC/Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical and be at minimum 17th Edition certified
• Engineering experience within FMCG preferred
• Have extensive experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Be competent in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, being a 60:40 split in either discipline
• Excellent understanding of working with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI’s.
• Strong attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment whilst having a heightened awareness of personal safety and a good understanding of safe working practices within an engineering role.
• Demonstrate good experience of implementing both short term and long term solutions and projects in an engineering function covering both electrical and mechanical equipment.

Multi-Skilled Engineer - Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur.
• Liaising with the team addressing breakdowns or interruptions to production and dealing promptly with any issues, escalating where necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
