NDT Inspector

Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Team are proud to be working in partnership with a large Aerospace business based within the Sheffield area.
We are currently seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join the team at this exciting time of expansion.

PAY:

£37,354.29 + 17% shift allowance

Shifts:
Initially mornings and afternoons, after training is completed this will return to a 3 shift pattern.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Elevation recruitment is looking for an experienced and skilled NDT Inspector for a key role at a Sheffield based aerospace business. The role will be reporting into the business unit manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review routers, procedures, specifications and any other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform the operation.
• Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions.
• Set up, calibrate and perform process control checks on equipment by following instructions and record results.
• To generate new/amend NDT data cards for approval by the Level III.
• Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required.
• Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required.
• Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications etc)
• Maintain work area, equipment and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times.
• Provide on the job training to trainees and fellow level II inspectors when required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Aerospace industry experience
• Currently hold NAS410/EN4179 Level 2 FPI
• Must be skilled in dye penetrant testing
