We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Services Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the neighbourhood's team including:

  • The delivery of customer services in an efficient, effective, and caring manner to internal and external customers and partner agencies.
  • To have knowledge of conditions of tenancy and assist with the administration of processing tenancy amendments and enforcing conditions of tenancy.
  • To assist in the planning and delivery of Tenancy Management Checks
  • To aid and support the delivery of the neighbourhood inspection programme
  • To support the neighbourhood teams and estate services team in the management and delivery of the estate services
  • To assist with the coordination of referrals and respond to a variety of tenancy related enquiries.
  • To support Neighbourhood officers with admin functions such as communication management, booking appointments and ensuring electronic records are in good order
  • To work closely with the safer neighbourhoods team, Neighbourhood Team Leaders and Neighbourhood Services Manager, to support the collation of statistical information
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of services for example by identifying better ways of working, participating in projects and working groups and being open to change.
  • To ensure systems are in place to support the effective management of budgets.
  • Providing administrative support as required to other areas that fall under housing and neighbourhoods directorate.
  • You will be expected to deliver excellent services to customers to achieve targets and high levels of customer satisfaction as well as delivering and demonstrating the vision and values of the organisation.


As a Neighbourhood Services Assistant we need you to have:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage, organise and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service and lead by example to motivate others to achieve same
  • Excellent IT skills in order to input and retrieve data in order to produce statistical information and analysis.
  • The flexibility to work as a team player who understands the wider impact of their work on their team and other departments, to support the local plans and achieve outcomes
  • Self-motivation, acting with integrity, drive and enthusiasm
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team

Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week - 3-6 month Temporary Assignment
