C# Developer - Gain experience with Blazor and AWS - Manchester (hybrid remote)

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mid-Level developer to gain experience with Blazor, AWS services and supporting live services.

Based in Manchester City Centre (hybrid, 2 days a week in office + flexible start times), this role is paying between £40k and £55k a year based on experience.

THE ROLE:

As part of small, close-nit team of developers, you will be working on the maintenance and ongoing improvement of a relatively new, stand-alone AWS based remote game server. Originally built by a third-part company using .Net 6, it has now been brought in-house and further work can now commence on it to implement various changes and add new features using .Net 8.

Later this year, you will also have the opportunity to work on a completely green-field project to create a game development toolkit that will provide you with exposure to the full software development life-cycle right through to deployment and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C# and other technologies
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that meets the requirements of the project
  • Debug and resolve software issues, including fixing bugs and optimizing performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Testers, and Project Managers, to deliver high-quality software
  • Participate in customer and end-user interactions to gather requirements and provide support

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency with C# .Net and SQL/MySQL
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend software
  • Qualification in Computer Science or Software engineering

BENEFICIAL:

  • Any prior exposure or knowledge of Blazor, Phaser, Docker, AWS Elasticache / RDS / MQ and SonarQube for code quality
