Avanti Recruitment is seeking an Application Developer for a leading IT asset disposition company. This role is fully remote with occasional office visits to Colchester.

Role Purpose: The Application Developer will develop new functionalities, fix bugs, improve performance, and refactor code to minimize technical debt. You'll work closely with the application delivery team, business analysts, and SMEs to ensure system performance and functionality. You will also be working on a greenfield project with C#, .NET Core, Blazor, Azure and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system/application errors
  • Develop new system functionalities, interfaces, and reports
  • Contribute to system expansion and scaling strategies
  • Balance short, medium, and long-term deliverables
  • Provide development effort estimates
  • Collaborate on requirement definitions
  • Document and annotate code
  • Test code to ensure it meets requirements

Performance Indicators:

  • Minimize bugs with attention to detail
  • Deliver right-first-time solutions
  • Meet or exceed objectives
  • Enhance knowledge of business processes

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years as an Application Developer or similar role
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, MS Blazor, and Entity Framework
  • Understanding of Azure (ADF, ASB, Logic Apps)
  • Experience with server management/maintenance
  • Knowledge of Git or other versioning tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

Salary up to £50,000 annually with 25 days holiday other benefits.
