Network Architect | Network Design (Meraki) – 100% home based

The postholder will be required to provide expertise, and leadership in the architecture, design and implementation of transferring enterprise applications and data into cloud environments.  This role will also work to minimise the size of business estate and drive wider adoption and use of Microsoft focussed technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and architect the best network and cloud solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs with a focus on Cisco MerakiAzure, and Azure networking technologies.
• Design and lead a well-informed cloud strategy to continually improve and evolve key corporate systems, ensuring stability, scalability and security at all times
• Develop and manage  cloud architecture and position in cloud environments.
• Act as a trusted adviser on matters related to Architecture and work collaboratively to challenge and support decision making.

Key Activities:

• Lead the technical ongoing review and assessments of cloud technologies to define the strategic and tactical steps to deliver the cloud roadmaps, cloud solution design, and related sourcing activities.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure full consideration of application connectivity requirements integrate effectively within the cloud and network landscape.
• Support the delivery of key strategic programs supporting the design, testing and implementation of complex solutions involving internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth interaction with Okta, our identity provider
• Research new technologies and solutions, and ensure appropriate levels of assurance

Experience:

• Experience in architecting, designing, implementing, securing and operating IT systems across multiple leading commercial Cloud platforms, primarily Azure, in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience of technical review and assessments, strategy, architectures, roadmaps, solution design, and related sourcing activities.
• Experience of integrating security products into complex technical landscapes.
• Experience of designing and implementing Microsoft platforms in other organisations.
• Experience with Zero Trust Network Access solutions -  (Ideal but not essential)
• Knowledge and experience in Azure Load balancers, Proxy Networks, Zscaler routing and Meraki (Required)
• Knowledge and experience in large enterprise networks and consolidating traffic flows.
