Job title: Network & Commissioning Assistant
Duration:
Temporary 3-6 months
Start date: ASAP
Location: Based at central London sites, and may be required to come to the London office on a adhoc basis for meetings/ training etc (other days at home)
Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm
Salary: £14.71

Duties include the following:

  • Attending Sites around the UK to complete Various manual tasks and Software Commissioning support for the remote team.
  • Follow the site completion checklist to ensure a smooth handover process to our Operations Team.
  • Inspect our 3rd party installations are to standards.
  • Verify the network has been fully commissioned and installer certification is provided.
  • React and resolve operational issues, reporting issues and resolutions to the Ops management team or other relevant departments.
  • Troubleshooting simple network issues such as re-patching switches with remote support.
  • Installing onsite labelling to equipment and arranging onsite equipment.
  • Asset management of installed equipment and client assets.
  • Telematics equipment troubleshooting after receiving training.
  • Comply and enforce all company ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001 policies.
  • Assist with the commissioning of Chargers and software/firmware site support.
  • Contribute to the development of in-house documentation on operating and troubleshooting products.
  • Deliver scripted training to customers operating products. (EVC)
  • Be prepared to work late in the evenings on some occasions whilst working away from home.
  • Work with the operations team and other internal teams to develop and streamline current processes.

Candidate specifications/requirements

  • Intermediate IT skills with Commercial and Industrial experience working safely within active CDM Regulated sites.
  • Intermediate understanding of Network Topology within SLD's training can be provided
  • In date ECS Network Infrastructure Assistant (Level 2) card
  • Knowledge and experience working with RAMS, PTW and latest Health & Safety legislation.
  • Understanding of technical documentation management and willingness to learn.
  • You are adaptable - growth means fast-pace and constant change, you handle uncertainty with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Comfortable managing and working with 3rd parties or contractors.
  • IT Skills in office packages.
  • Valid clean full UK driving license
