Title: 6 Month Contract Network Engineer

Client: Fintech

Salary: Up to £600 a day (Inside IR35)

Location: London

My client is a global hedge fund that manages multiple investment strategies across various asset classes, leveraging advanced technology and talented professionals to excel in markets worldwide.

This role involves engineering, operations, and implementation of load balancing across enterprise networks, including datacenters, Wi-Fi, remote offices, and WAN/MAN. You'll serve as an escalation point for critical issues and support the global team with network challenges in Europe. Responsibilities include implementing global standards and contributing to network automation. L2/L3 support experience is required, with a focus on improving processes. (A full and detailed job spec is available)

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience -

• 7+ years’ experience in network engineering
• Strong background in financial services
• Hands-on experience with Arista and IP networking
• Familiarity with AWS and hybrid environments
• Comfortable scripting with Ansible or Python
