Location: Yorkshire based - FULLY REMOTE

About the Role
We are excited to announce an opening for a Paralegal within a expanding Neurotrauma team, part of our award-winning Claimant Personal Injury department. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team representing clients with brain and spinal cord injuries.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing Yorkshire-based team.

It is a remote position for candidates residing in Yorkshire, supporting clients locally and nationally, with monthly travel to our Newcastle office (for more information please call Beth Livings on the details provided to discuss further).

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with case preparation, including collating and reviewing documentary evidence such as medical records, accident documents, collision reports, and ambulance logs.
- Draft detailed witness statements, schedules, and related documents.
- Obtain and review evidence as instructed by clients and lay witnesses.
- Coordinate and liaise with various professionals (e.g., Counsel, Experts, Case Managers/Therapists).
- Conduct liability and quantum investigations.
- Undertake legal research.
- Support team members proactively to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, ensuring compliance with Court timetables.
- Promote the firm and the Neurotrauma team externally by attending events, fostering relationships with potential referrers, and supporting the business development and profile-raising activities of the team.

Requirements
- Proven experience in Claimant personal injury litigation.
- High degree of flexibility and ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and IT skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to cover a variety of tasks and work outside core hours when necessary.
- Ability to travel to specialist Rehabilitation Units across the country.
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork capabilities, and exceptional client care skills.
